Mitch Marrow: Owner

Mitchell Marrow was drafted out of Brunswick High school by the Atlanta Braves in the 6th round as both a pitcher and outfielder. He opted to put pro sports on hold while he attended the Ivy League's University of Pennsylvania where he played both varsity baseball and football for the school. After working his way to become a top NFL prospect (one of the few ever out of the Ivy League), breaking strength records (Bench Pressing 595lbs.), speed records (running a 4.56 40yrd dash), and vertical leap records (41 inches) at the NFL rookie combines, he became the 61st overall selection in the 1997 NFL draft to the Carolina Panthers (the highest pick in recent Ivy League history).

After multiple major back surgeries cut Mitch's NFL career short, he used his degree from the University of Pennsylvania along with the amazing contact base he had built via both his NFL status and the U of Penn Alumni network in the Wall Street community. From early 2001 through late 2010 Mitch worked his way up the rungs of the Hedge Fund world.  He moved on from an international trading position at UBS Warburg to become the Head of all International Trading Operations at a few of the largest and most respected value oriented hedge Funds in the world.

Mitch was the youngest employee at Brahman to ever be offered a partnership after only 16 short months of demonstrating his value running both the International and US trading operations.

In late 2010 while Mitch was helping his mother to do some due diligence on some businesses she was interested in purchasing in the dog services world.  It was during this due diligence that he stumbled upon the fantastic staff at the (known formerly as) Canine Country Club. Once he dug into what he felt was an extremely unique and genius way that Brewster Smith ran the day camp and boarding operations, he realized that this was worth a deeper look not for his mother but for himself.

Having ample experience dealing with the evaluation of stagnant or distressed companies and the process of successfully turning them into the well managed, super companies they should be, he saw the immense opportunity to help make the changes that would allow this diamond in the rough to become the best, most unique and safe, dog service experience in NYC.  His partnership with Brewster combines Mitch's experience with Brewster's unparalleled knowledge and experience in creating the ultimate facility for dog day camp, boarding and grooming.

Mitch has left a position in the world of finance that most people work a lifetime to achieve to take on what he sees as the best entrepreneurial opportunity he has ever come across, which just happens to involve his love of dogs.

He is happily married to his wife Hilary and has a 18 month old daughter Reese.  Together they live in Rye, NY with their two dogs; a 220 lb St. Bernard named Reggie and a 165 lb Bull mastiff named Hank (his other babies).
